Computer Systems Senior Engineer

During the early 1980's I managed the Information Center of a major research university, providing IRM, delivering consulting, and end user support services to a large, diverse, distributed user population numbering in the thousands. Later as a Computer Systems Senior Engineer, I was responsible for the distributed online program development and telecommunications systems for the University's mainframe operations. I was initially employed as a student consultant. Before graduating, in 1981, I was hired as a full time Programmer in the Academic Computing Consulting group. I was promoted to Programmer/Analyst and became the Consulting Office Director in 1983 delivering consulting and end user support services to a large, diverse, distributed user population numbering in the thousands. In 1984, I was promoted to Computer Systems Senior Engineer and was transferred to lead the distributed on-line program development and telecommunications systems groups for the University's mainframe operations.
