Assignment 1

Using a Web browser such as Netscape, scan the Internet for a company to study for the semester. Research Web sites of the company as well as on-line newspapers and magazines and on-line library references this week to find:

• the history of the company and its strategy over time. Look for intended as well as emergent strategies.
• the mission statement and goals of this company.
• get a feel for the company's strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
• who is the chief executive officer?
