First class "quiz"
Daddy's Little Quiz
For fun, answer the following:
- E = mc2 is a linear theory. True?
- Who was Almond B. Strowger? Why do you owe him a debt of gratitude?
- You have a sand heap. Take a grain of sand from your "heap." Keep doing this. When does your "heap" change to a "non-heap"? (i.e., with which grain of sand?)
- The liar from Crete stated that all Cretans are liars. He then asked you if he lied. Did he?
- On the one-acre desert island of Row there are four Rowinians standing at a crossroads. You wish to find the fabled 100-foot tower of Schmoe. What two questions would you ask? (Oh, by the way, one type of Rowinian always tells the truth, one always lies, one cannot speak, and one may or may not tell the truth.) So, ask your questions.
- There are nine dots arranged in a 3X3 matrix. Using only four straight lines, connect all 9 dots -- do not lift the pen or pencil from the paper.
- List three differences between a jazz band and an orchestra.
- Let's play a game ·
- Now give at least one strategic principle operating in each of these nine questions.
