"a full set of original children's songs about fantasies,
dreams, hopes and fun times. Mingling the sounds of
folk, country and southern rock, their tunes are
peppered with funny voices, animal noises and other
sound effects (including burping in the circusy "Fat
Alice"). A full band accompanies these fine-tuned
tracks, giving the disc a contemporary feel. The
pretty ballad "Waiting for the Moon" is a departure
from the rest of the album, incorporating a jazz flavor.
After a string of upbeat tracks, the album appropriately
settles down into a quieter mood. There is even a
bedtime song, "Mr. Sleepy Read" Dog's New Clothes'
melodies are catchy without sounding too repetitive.
It's a worthwhile album to buy for kids in grade school."
