• Directions to my university office arriving from the North by Interstate 95 South - coming from Washington, Fredericksburg, etc.
• Directions to my university office arriving from the South by Interstate 95 North - coming from Petersburg, North Carolina, etc.

(*) Toward the middle of the Floyd Avenue side of the fourth floor of the Business Building).

Directions to my university office arriving from the North by Interstate 95 South - coming from Washington, Fredericksburg, etc.

(Shown in green on the maps above and below - don't forget to highlight your route if you don't have a color printer!)

1. Take I-95 South to Richmond.
2. As you get close to Richmond, look for an exit marked "Route 1 Belvidere Street" It is just past the "Boulevard" exit where you will see the Diamond (Richmond's baseball park) off to the right if it is daylight or if the park is lite up for a game).
3. Exit at "Route 1 Belvidere Street" to the right.
4. When you exit at "Route 1" get in to the left lane.
5. At the end of the exit ramp, take a left at the stop light from the exit ramp on to Leigh Street.
6. Get into the right lane west on to Leigh Street
7. Make a right at the next light. The right turn will put you southbound on Route 1.
8. Continue on Route 1 south for 5 (five) traffic lights.
9. The fifth (5th) traffic light will be Main Street crossing Route 1. Make a right turn from Route 1 on to Main Street heading West.
10. Proceed three blocks to the the intersection of Main Street and Laurel Street. (The Richmond Landmark Theater is located to the right.)
11. Make a left from Main Street on to Laurel Street.
12. The Main Street Parking Deck entrance is half way down the right-hand side of Laurel Street.
13. Proceed on foot to the Business Building.

Directions to my university office arriving from the South by Interstate 95 Nouth - coming from Petersburg, North Carolina, etc.

1. Take I-95 North towards Richmond.
2. As you cross the James River Bridge, get in to the right lane of I-95 North and watch for the landmark clock tower to appear over top of an overpass on the right. That is the signal to exit to locate the I-195 North exit.
3. Exit to the right at I-195 North.
4. Proceeed on I-195 north for just a mile and look for the exit marked "Route 1 Belvidere Street."
5. Exit I-195 to the right on to Canal Street. There is an unmanned $0.25 toll at the exit.
6. Proceed west along Canal Street to the stop light at the intersection of Canal Street and Route 1 Belvidere Street,
7. When safe, proceed across Route 1 Belvidere Street.
8. After four blocks turn right from Canal Street on to Cherry Street.
9. Proceed two blocks north on Cherry Street.
10. The second block will have stop sign marking the intersection of Cherry Street and Cary Street.
11. Cross Cary Street and look for the entrace to the Main Street Parking Deck entrance half way down the right-hand side of Cherry Street.
12. Proceed on foot to the Business Building.

The Business Building

Once you park in the parking deck, please walk the remaining two blocks West on Main Street to the Business Building (shown in yellow on the map below). My office is on the fourth floor - room 4170 is mid-way along the Floyd Avenue side of the Business Building.
