As you can see from the picture below, I've been working with computers for a very long time. My background is a combination of real world experience and academically based research. My career positions have ranged from the retail and other businesses to computer systems engineering and more recently to research-based consulting. Some specific topics of interest include the VCU School of Business - Department of Information Systems - where my affiliation dates to 1978.

Relatedly, in 2000, VCU spun off a company named "Data Blueprint" to capitalize on intellectual property developed as part of my research into systems, data engineering, and data reengineering. I regularly give talks and appear at conferences, speaking on these and related topics as part of the IEEE, DAMA, and other speaker programs.
