"To lead DISA's information assurance implementation by developing effective security policy and processes, establishing training and awareness programs, and accrediting current and 21st century technology assets."

INFOSEC DIVISION GOALS

• Jointly develop and implement a common set of priorities for DISA's INFOSEC community.
• Provide awareness and effective infosec training for all of DISA personnel.
• Shorten the accreditation process in both time and amount of paperwork required
• Accredit 100 % of DISA's information systems
• Develop and publish all required DISA information assurance policies and processes by FY 99 and annually review and update thereafter
• Design and implement effective risk management and compliance review programs
• Develop an information assurance marketing strategy.
• Measure how disa is doing on infosec and show progress

FY97 INFOSEC DIVISION OBJECTIVES

• Develop vehicle (s) to improve internal INFOSEC communication: INFOSEC panel; ISSM meetings
• Develop and implement a DISA training program POA&M
• Implement the DITSCAP accreditation process and streamline it
• Accredit 8 dmcs and 25 major systems
• Publish 4 DISA infosec policies
• Develop DISA risk management and compliance review measures
• Use C&A database to manage status and place it on-line for DISA-wide reference
• Activate INFOSEC website with frequently asked questions and answers
• Manage and integrate current and future INFOSEC resources
• Develop a set of meaningful metrics to measure how DISA is doing
