Enterprise Architecture Tools

IS architecture tools are a combination of design tools and information technology tools, some which are common and very familiar, others which are still under development. Quite possibly the most important tools for the IS architect are information technology design principles and standards and a conceptual framework to guide architecture development. In addition, adherence to a common platform for IS development and implementation - or at least building effective interfaces among different platforms - allows for the IS architecture goals to be more easily served.
