The Auditor of Public Accounts Special Report on the Project
In January 1998, the Commonwealth's Auditor of Public Accounts reviewed the project as required by the 1997 Appropriations Act. The report by auditor Walter J. Kucharski is reproduced (in part) below indicating the project status is "proceeding as scheduled and within budget. It is nice to know that others
- endorse the project methodology,
- appreciate the use of our academic-public sector partnership,
- perceived the project as proceeding on track
- recognize that the project is at a "critical stage" where unforeseen problems could delay the deployment.
