website paiken: website

Greetings! from Richmond, Virginia. Welcome to another of the Official Bottom 95% of all the websites on the Internet! You might be wondering what's here? Well for starters, I'm recruiting for the Deutsche Bank intern program as well as other ISRI Research Associates. A brand new article on reverse engineering PeopleSoft. My collection of Evyind Earle artwork online or a picture from the most recent Playing with Matches field party. Since is it a new semester, I've added a section for my INFO663 course. Another recent item is a very nice plaque from my former employer acknowledging my outstanding contributions. I've added direct links to my distribution, publications and Dave Weiss' information engineering case study pages. Then there is the IBM Systems Journal's online version of my article "Reverse engineering of data." Doug Stewart has contributed some new images. Also new is my 'book store' selling copies of my book Data Reverse Engineeringthat received a favorable review in the December 1997 issue of Database Programming and Design magazine. Or perhaps you would like to see a preview of Clive Finkelstein and my forthcoming book on Corporate Information Portals. Carrying on with the technical theme, you could choose to visit theongoing PeopleSoft Metadata Project, our Data Reengineering Case Study, (written up in InformationWEEK), and some reengineering related links. Then of course there is the usual collection of assorted goodies such as a literally head spinning introduction, other site specific links (such as my, academic background, my employment overview and chronology, selected papers that are available online, and my contact information), my friends in Dog's New Clothes, Melissa Graber's cool art collection for your browsing enjoyment, the Delta Sigma Pi test pages, Dr. Michael Pitts' business strategy information collections and examples for Fall 1996 or Spring 1996, a class project to develop a site for the Richmond Landmark Theater (not endorsed by the theater or the City), my guest book, my philosophies and blessings, the weather in Richmond, VA and finally a collection of ONL - (other neat links). Welcome - please look around - contact me via e-mail at: paiken@acm.org. This is my web site - none of opinions here represent the opinions of my employer Virginia Commonwealth University's - School of Business - Department of Information Systems, - Information Systems Research Institute. I most recently updated it on Saturday, September 4, 1999. Thank you for visiting!
